Blonde Brownies
1/2 c. butter
5 ounces of white chocolate
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
Recipe Directions
Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat then stir in the sugar and beat in the eggs and vanilla. Quickly stir in the flour, salt and nuts to just lightly mix. Spread in a well greased 9×12 baking pan. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes. Do not overbake or they will lose their chewy texture. Remove from pan to a rack to cool. While still slightly warm, cut into squares with a greased knife.
